Society always has a hidden agenda...

No society wants you to be wise. It's against the investment of all societies. If people are wise, they cannot be exploited. If they are intelligent, they cannot be subjugated, they cannot be forced into a mechanical life, to live like robots.

They will assert their individuality and spread the fragrance of rebellion all around, willing to live in freedom. Freedom comes with wisdom and no society wants people to be free to use their own intelligence. 

Because the moment they start using it, they become dangerous - to the establishment, to the people who are in power, to any oppression, exploitation and suppression. 

A wise man is like a flame. He would rather die than to be enslaved to sell his life to all kind of stupidities. He can no longer serve to the society to fulfill its dark agenda.
